The Australia 2000 Travel Story
The dream of helping discerning, adventurous travelers discover Australia, and New Zealand from an unusual perspective became a reality with the opening of Australia 2000 Travel in 1992.
Quite simply the dream was to replace the passive environment of large tour buses with the vibrancy created by meeting local Aussies and Kiwis at their work and play on our glorious beaches, in our lively cities, in the grueling Outback, in the many world heritage sites, ancient rainforests, volcanoes and glaciers.
To fulfill our clients’ dreams the staff at Australia 2000 Travel traverse the length & breadth of Australia, New Zealand and Fiji to hand-pick specialist sightseeing guides, select boutique hotels, luxury lodges, beachfront bures, bed and breakfast inns and farm accommodations.
The cherished personal relationships we’ve developed among hoteliers and private tour guides during the past fifteen years ensure our clients receive that additional personal touch of South Pacific hospitality. Hiking the glaciers and live volcanoes, seeking the hidden café and historic pub much loved by the locals; finding the ideal specialist guide who knows local artisans that are happy to open their galleries for private inspections; developing relationships with guides who have special access to sacred Aboriginal sites, Maori meeting-houses and Fijian villages enable us to customize unique itineraries to suit individual needs.
By sampling the multi cultural cuisines of local restaurants, joining the vintners at private wine tastings in their award winning wineries and sampling the wares at local markets from Darwin to Queenstown we are able to create itineraries to suit every palate.
By taking treatments at local spas; seeking the best spot to view the Sydney New Years Eve firework spectacular; riding camels on Cable Beach at sunset; watching the optical illusion of the Staircase to the Moon; flying in seaplanes and mustering helicopters; riding quad bikes to chase wild brumbies and boars; taking tandem parachute jumps over the rainforest, drinking carver in Fiji and swimming with elephants in the South China Sea we’ve developed our own Pandora’s Box of sensational activities to satisfy the most daring thrill seeker.
We’ll blend your interests with our immense local knowledge and lastly add a touch of Aussie magic to create an adventure just for you. |
